Greyhound Cocktail

Last week there was an abundance of grapefruit in my CSA basket so I thought another CSA cocktail was in order and decided to go simple with this Greyhound Cocktail.

On I posted about the two best things to do with grapefruit. Of course, one is this cocktail perfect for summer.  The other is, of course, to just eat it plain for breakfast as nothing is every going to be as good as that.  Well, maybe this cocktail is.  Vodka never made anything worse!

This is what you will need:

  • 1.5 - 2 oz vodka
  • 1 grapefruit
  • Lime for garnish

This is how you make it:

  1. Juice the grapefruit into a mixing glass and add vodka. Gently stir and pour into highball glass filled to the top with ice. Garnish with a slice of lime.

How simple is this Greyhound Cocktail?

About Trevor Kensey

To be truthful, I don’t know what “Sis. Boom. [blog!]” means either. The name implies something explosive just happened I suppose I would like it if each post would make made a small ‘boom’ in your day or at least a fizzle. Even though a recipe is included with every post I have a hard time calling this a “food blog” or even myself a “food blogger”.
