I made this last night and, from the first sip, found it delicious but also calling for an extra element. I floated a dusting of ground ginger on top and that did it: the fresh lemon danced with the bourbon; the bitters brought an herbal darkness; the ginger provided heat and a long, clean finish.

Thank you for the inspiration. Come for the wonderful words, stay for the booze!

Bravo to you for taking a serious look at who you give your money too. There are a lot of people oblivious to things about companies that they are not realizing that they support. I have my list of banned. It may not change the company but it makes me feel much better!

This is an oldie (august) but I am definitely glad to see it. Delicious ice cream always brings a smile-yum!

I'm making chocolate ice cream today, but an epicurious recipe instead...must have missed the glut of chocolate ice cream posts this week...yours is my first. We had snow last night, so I'm starting to think I'm a bit insane, but it may keep me from eating too much. Yours looks fabulous (as I'm slyly taking in your food styling hoping to come up with something close to that nice).

I am not one that likes to sweat when I eat spicy food so finding a chili recipe that lands on middle ground when it comes to spice can be very limiting. Your chili does fit my tastes on the middle ground.
Not a fan of Rick Perry and I am from Texas. Some of his ideas really make you think he is so much not Texan.

Always happy to be a good influence on my friends! LOL! You won't regret buying the book, but you may get a little frustrated with some of the instructions. I've loved everything I've made so far.
