See my breakfast? (I didn't take a bit out of it before taking the picture! A piece fell off in my hand.)
This blog will certainly take a different turn in January. While I have certainly enjoyed rediscovering the kitchen this year (thanks in large part to starting this blog and
the other one), it has come at the price of a notch or two on my belt and I am now feeling just a bit thick. I never wanted to be a cooking blog anyway as there are
so many fantastic blogs that showcase kitchen talent already.

When it comes to dieting I am sort of an all or nothing dieter. Simple moderation doesn't seem to work. As such, I am now officially on The Zone Diet and my household is on notice that with only a few exceptions, they are on their own! To ensure my success I have enlisted the help of
Zone Delivery USA. They are one of those operations that delivers your day's meals, fresh, to your front door each morning so nothing is open to interpretation (or measuring for that matter!). Supposedly everything is strictly The Zone. The program is not exactly cheap either but when you have all your food at your side for the day you aren't buying $15 work lunches or spending more than you need to at the supermarket. I have used a similar service before and it did work pretty easily. This time I chose Zone Delivery USA because they were a few dollars cheaper per day and the menu looked better. I did expect a bit better than a muffin for breakfast I don't want to judge the company by one day's menu so I will refrain until a few days have passed.
On the weekends I'm on my own (my choice) giving me just enough flexibility to have a real life and maybe cook just a bit too as long as it works into the diet plan. I guess right now I want to lose 10 pounds more than I want to cook and experiment in the kitchen.
I'll keep you posted but for now I have to get back to my breakfast.
